The Mayor and the councilor for NGOs and Volunteers meet with representatives of the ADENIS association

Eduardo Dolón has announced that this new local NGO, focused on supporting vulnerable families, will obtain a nominal grant to help with the expenses it has to carry out its functions

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Ong's and Volunteering, Concha Sala, have met at the Town Hall with the representatives of the ADENIS association, to listen and attend to the needs and demands of this local NGO focused on helping and support to vulnerable families.

The good harmony has been the predominant note in this first meeting of the mayor of Torrevieja with the heads of ADENIS, in which the Department of Ong's and Volunteering has promised to cover the demands of this new NGO that, being less than two years constituted as an association, it has not been able to apply for subsidies, under a competitive concurrence regime, to support the development of social action programs carried out by non-profit entities in the municipality of Torrevieja. For this, the City Council is going to grant ADENIS a nominal subsidy, as it has been done with other local NGOs, to cover the expenses that this NGO has, especially the payment of rent for its headquarters.

Likewise, Eduardo Dolón has explained that for the next financial year 2024 ADENIS will already be eligible for the granting of municipal subsidies for the entities created for this purpose, for which reason it must formally present its work program and the expenses and needs that they have annually.
