Presenter the poster announcing the Torrevieja Carnival 2023, which will be held from January 26 to February 27

The councilor for Fiestas of the Torrevieja City Council, Concha Sala, the president of the "Carnaval de Torrevieja" Cultural Association, Francisco Pizana, the author of the 2023 poster, Damián Bear, as well as the president of the Torrevieja Casino, Miguel Albentosa, have presented today the Torrevieja Carnival 2023.

The Torrevieja carnival, declared of Autonomous Tourist Interest, returned to the streets of Torrevieja this year after the break in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The presentation of this poster is the starting signal for carnival 2023", were the words of the president of the association, who has also communicated the dates on which the next carnival will take place, which will begin on January 26 and end on February 27. The contest parade will take place on February 12, while the night parade with the participation of foreign comparsas will take place on February 18. The bases for the "Ciudad de Torrevieja 2023" comparsas and chirigotas contests, the Torrevieja Carnival 2023 parade contest and the 2023 foreign comparsas contest are now available on the association's website: carnavaldetorrevieja.com.

The advertising poster is a work of the young man from Torrevieja Damián Bear, who wanted to mark a turning point between the designs that preceded his work by not representing the carnival queens or an allegory of their fantasies. Bear has wanted to represent in a futuristic and innovative way the great family of the Torrevieja carnival that "as the universe appears every day a new satellite, a new planet, in the carnival every day new troupes come out that make it grow". The two kissing Venetian masks represent the union of the Torrevieja comparsas.

The presidents of both associations have announced that, as a result of the close collaboration between the two entities, the "Carnaval de Torrevieja" is a partner of the Torrevieja Casino.
