Open the term to apply for subsidies for cultural associations attached to the field of competence of the Municipal Institute of Culture ~Annuity 2022~

The Councilor for Culture of the City Council of Torrevieja, Antonio Quesada, announces that today the deadline has been opened to request subsidies for cultural associations attached to the field of competence of the "Joaquín Chapaprieta" Municipal Institute of Culture for the year 2022. The deadline for submission of applications is 10 business days, so it will remain open until next February 23. The place for submitting applications will be the electronic headquarters of the Municipal Institute of Culture. The maximum subsidy to be awarded per entity is 20,000 euros, and this amount cannot exceed 80% of the total cost of the project.

This public call for the granting of subsidies under a competitive system to non-profit Cultural Associations, attached to the sphere of competence of this Municipal Institute of Culture, has as its objective the "carrying out of projects of teaching, animation, management and dissemination of local culture in all its facets carried out during 2022”.

The call for these grants is intended to contribute to the promotion of local culture and traditions, with the intention of the "Joaquín Chapaprieta" Municipal Institute of Culture to subsidize projects that have already been carried out to enhance, in this way, the management capacity of the different cultural associations of the city.

The fields of action of the subsidies are the following:

  1. Programs for the dissemination of local photography.
  2. Programs for the dissemination of local traditions in the neighbourhoods.
  3. Diffusion programs of the processional parades in the district of Torrelamata.
  4. Programs for the dissemination of local crafts.
  5. Local culture dissemination programs.
  6. Diffusion programs for neighborhood festivals.
  7. Programs for teaching and disseminating musicals.
  8. Teaching programs and dissemination of the performing arts.
  9. Teaching programs and diffusion of the pictorial arts.

Also, to qualify for these municipal subsidies is required:

  1. To be a non-profit Association whose scope of action is cultural action in the fields of action included in the sixth base.
  2. Be registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations of the City Council of Torrevieja.
  3. That they have carried out their activity in the Municipality at least two years before the end of the deadline for submitting applications for this call.
  4. Have a headquarters or delegation in Torrevieja or Torrelamata.
  5. That they have sufficient structure to guarantee the fulfillment of their objectives and those of the project submitted to this call.
  6. That the project presented has been related to the Association's own activity.
  7. Be up to date with your obligations with Social Security, with the Tax Agency and with the Municipal Treasury.
  8. To have justified technically and economically the subsidies that have been granted to them in previous years.
