Last Friday, October 22, the SICTED Improvement Group (Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destination) was held at the Torrevieja Tourism Center (CDT) with the theme "Torrevieja: Technology and Destination. Knowledge of the Destination Model Smart Tourist of the Valencian Community and Public-Private collaboration for the implementation of the destination ", in which more than 70 companies that are committed to quality participated.

The Councilor for Tourism, Rosario Martínez, has reported that Torrevieja continues to work on the development of a master plan for Smart Tourist Destination with the consulting firm Kalmas Gestión Empresarial, which specializes in planning and managing tourist destinations. Among the planned actions, two participatory sessions have been held today with the establishments that are members of and distinguished from the Sicted.

In this conference, aspects related to sustainability, the improvement of urban mobility, accessibility to tourist resources, the improvement of connectivity in the destination, the application of intelligence systems that allow knowing in real time the behavior of tourists in the destination, as well as aspects of improvement in the commercialization of tourist products and services of the companies of the municipality.

The purpose of these sessions has been to explain in the first part the model of Smart Tourist Destinations of the Valencian Community, and in the second part we have worked together with the local businessmen in the development of those actions that will form part of the master plan , which will be analyzed and taken to the Destination Quality Table, which will take place on November 12.

As promoted by the DTI model, public-private collaboration is essential in the definition and execution of smart code actions that improve the experience of the destination for both visitors and residents themselves.
