Three Belgian journalists representing several important media in the Flemish market, Tom Marees, from the SeriorenNet medium focused on an audience over 60, Dominique Trachet, from Primo, specialized in lifestyle and Birgit Defoort, general director of a tourism consultancy have participated in a guided tour with bird watching in the Natural Park of the Lagunas de Torrevieja and La Mata, carried out by the company Oxytours and in the company of the representative of PROVIA, Diego Bascuñanma. Your journey through the south of the Costa Blanca will continue through the neighboring city of Orihuela.

This familiarization trip (Fam Trip) has been organized by the Costa Blanca Board of Trustees in collaboration with the Torrevieja City Council and the Association of Real Estate Developers of the Province of Alicante PROVIA. The objective of the visit is to promote residential tourism and to get to know first-hand the reasons that lead thousands of Belgians to spend their holidays on the Costa Blanca, becoming, in many cases, residential tourists. It so happens that in recent years the number of Belgian tourists to Torrevieja has grown significantly, as have the French.

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Tourism of the Torrevieja City Council, Rosario Martínez, have held a meeting with the three Belgian journalists in the Natural Park of the Lagunas de Torrevieja and La Mata.
